Anyone else have a similar experience please? Last month had a day of spotting and thought nothing of it then exactly a month later here I am back to square one. It’s light compared to the flooding of my previous periods but it’s gone on for a week now. Mother Nature is a cruel bitch sometimes. I’m 57 for gods sake.

I really feel for you. I’m 52 and I’ve already had enough and they are painful every month too! Fingers crossed this is your last one…

Similar here...I had about 6 months of none, then all of a sudden it's back to roughly every month, with hideous PMT, worse than it ever was. Just praying it will all be over soon! I want to go on HRT but I can't tolerate the progesterone, it made me almost suicidal, so want my periods to properly stop so I can do oestrogen only.

@julietteoubliette You can't use only estrogen if you have a womb.
Progesterone in some form is needed so the womb lining doesn't thicken when using estrogen.

It doesn't matter if your periods have stopped or not, you still need progesterone.

If you have only tried micronised progesterone, there are many other types including tablets and patches and the Mirena coil.
