In my right boob for the last 2 days.
Is this yet another lovely symptom or something more sinister?
Feels a bit like breast feeding pain.

I don’t think it’s anything sinister, but would get it checked out op.

Yes I agree.

I had this a few years ago, right behind my nipple and it was very painful! I seem to remember it lasting quite a few months, I did get it checked out and they told me it was hormonal changes…

Yes, I’m 41 and have noticed that in the week after my period I get a stabbing pain in the side of my left breast. It’s on and off for a few days. Drives me mad. I read that it’s hormonal fluctuations (drop in oestrogen).

I had terrible breast pain for quite a while a few years ago, OP - like you, all on one side.
And it was the side where l used to have very bad pre menstrual breast tenderness (I'm 66 now, so definitely not pre menstrual). No lumps that l could feel, the other side was fine.
I saw someone at my GP surgery, they asked me to 'keep an eye on it and come back in a couple of weeks if it's no better' - it wasn't, so l went back.
They fast tracked me to a breast consultant, it was a bit of a shock when l found myself sat in the oncology department....
Anyway. I saw the consultant, he said he could 'feel a lump' on that side.
So they gave me a mammogram and an ultrasound. The ultrasound tech told me there and then that it was clear, but l had to wait for the mammogram results.
Which also came back clear. Nothing sinister, apparently, so they told me to just take pain relief when l needed it, and suggested ibuprofen gel (but avoiding the nipple area).
I still get it occasionally now, but nothing like as bad as it was. I don't know if that's because my hormones have settled down, or because l take an Evening Primrose capsule every day. The hospital didn't suggest that, but l did a bit of research and thought l may as well give it a try.
If you're concerned, please get checked out, but l'd give the EVP a go too.

Have been slathering EPO all over and that seems to have helped. It’s definitely the one that hurts when I’m premenstrual. Just not that time of the month so a bit odd.
