It’s a well studied supplement. I take it - it’s supposed to help with muscle mass and there’s some new research to say it can help with cognitive function, fatigue and brain fog.

Women have lower stores than men.

Main side effects for some people is bloating- I found that settled if you reduce dose and work your way back up. I think it can cause some water retention. I am settled on it now.

I always wanted to try but I had breast cancer and not recommended for me to take.

@Mercurial123 do you know why? I'm a BC survivor too and have been wondering about creatine.

It's a few years since I asked but I was advised there are conflicting studies. Some say it encourages metastasis and other reports it benefits cancer patients. I was advised not to take it as I have two gene mutations.

Research may have changed but run it by your GP or oncologist if you are still under their care.

I’ve been taking creatine for years as I do a lot of strength training.

It’s got a huge amount of research behind it as PP states. It’s been more in the news recently due to more recent research suggesting more benefits than previously thought.

Just make sure you buy creatine mono hydrate powder and you can buy the cheapest on Amazon. The Ancient and Brave eg is very expensive and a bit of a marketing con price-wise.

Don’t buy gummies or tablets unless they provide 3rd party testing of ingredients. There was big hooha recently as lots of gummies didn't contain enough or indeed any creatine.

The powder is very finely milled and tasteless. I don’t bother mixing it into drinks I just dry scoop it followed by a big slug of water. I had no side effects.
