Can I just stop HRT?

I started because of brain fog/lack of focus.

Within a few days it had sorted my sleep, which I hadn't realised was menopause related, but I don't think it's made much difference to my focus and the "PMS" symptoms I get for the days I'm on progesterone are horrendous.

If I decide to manage menopause naturally, can I just stop. How do I wean myself off?

I think you need to talk to your GP. Have you considered adjusting your dose, or trying a different form of progesterone? In what way are the days you're on it horrendous?

I stopped, after three years, because I became increasingly sensitive to the progesterone phase. I weaned down the Estrogen from two pumps to one to half over 3 months, but kept the same dose of Progesterone. When I finally stopped after another full progesterone cycle, the next month I felt so much better. I haven't really noticed much difference now off the HRT, other than I feel so much better! It DID help me in those first couple of years with sleep and anxiety, and I am a little more anxious off than on, but honestly, all things being equal I prefer to be off the HRT now.

I am trying the mirana in the hope it solves my issues with the progesterone phase as it is at a much lower dose. Could this be an option for you OP?

I am on month 3 of Slynd for progesterone and so far so good after terrible time with other types

If you're using it on a cycle, you should complete the cycle before you stop- so take the last micronised progesterone, then stop it and the estrogen.
You don't need to wean yourself off it unless you've used it for years and then it's best to reduce the estrogen gradually, week by week.

Bear in mind there are 4 types of progesterone available.
Until quite recently, micronised progesterone was rarely used.
You might find that other types suit you far better.
Femoston tablet, another called Kliofem, patches with Norethisterone, or the Mirena coil.
