St John’s Wort AND HRT?

After an especially week as far as low mood was concerned, I shoved St John’s Wort into my online shopping basket, I remember it being of some help a few years ago. Now it’s arrived and it says I should not take as I’m my HRT. Is this a thing? I’m reading this and thinking, yes you idiot it’s a thing, there in black and white. Really annoyed I’ve wasted my money.
Does anyone have a suggestion for something I can take alongside the HRT to help with low mood, irritability, lack of motivation etc etc. I’m already on Evorel 75 plus progesterone. I know others struggle with progesterone, but I’ve been on it for 6-8 months and not felt too bad. And actually seems to help my sleep!
thank you.

Maybe this is one to run by a pharmacist? I can't see why it's contraindicated and it may be out of date info relevant to tablet form (ie liver damage) not transdermal HRT.

You could also google/ ChatGPT but accept neither is always right.

On the other hand, daily regular exercise is known to boost mood- jogging, brisk walking etc- get the serotonin going!.
