Early Peri or just anxiety?

I am 35 and have been having awful hot flushes. Hair loss. Fatigue and hellish pms, missed periods, extra periods, extra dark body hair growing.

The GP did some tests and apparently im fine, too young for peri and my hormones are fine and im probably just anxious.

But I don't feel fine.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Tests? Blood tests? Were your iron levels checked? Also I know of 6 women who started perimenopause when they were in their 30s so it does happen. Ask for your hormones to be checked if they haven’t already. Your symptoms could be down to perimenopause or lack of vitamins. Go back and ask for a second opinion. Doctors are so fast to dismiss your symptoms if tests are borderline and don’t take on board how utterly debilitating it can be. I hope you get answers x

I started the peri menopause as soon as I had my youngest at 38. If you started periods early you can start the menopause early too.

Sorry for the late reply, I've been so busy

The blood tests were for hormone and iron, my iron is slightly low but higher than it has been and my symptoms are worse.

I started taking the POP yesterday and I almost felt euphoric. I think I have an imbalance of hormones I feel amazing today.

I can't get in with the dr it's at least a 2 month wait for routine now.

I'm on the same boat! I think I am perimenopausal, went to the doctor who suggested I was depressed. I don't think I am depressed, it's tiring having to fight for yourself all the time with the GP

It's awful isnt it, womens issues are so often labelled as us being anxious or depressed.

I researched possible ways to essentially self medicate and feel better- hence the progesterone pill.

We will all be doctors by the end of it.
