In perimenopause has anyone not recognised people they have met before a few times?

Really embarrassing. Actually went to one woman's house....distant aquaintance. Met her again a few years later at a Christmas do..couldn't remember her until she'd pointed out we'd met a few times.so awful.

Yes, me. It's not so much adults actually, but my DC's friends. It's happened twice where I simply haven't recognised a DC I know reasonably well, because they've gone from being 12 to 15. They haven't changed that much, but it's like I have a sudden blindness and can't see who it is. Mortifiying!

Often I feel I recognise them but no idea from where or their names! My visual memory is fine, but verbal and numerical memory now awful. Sadly I have quite a wordy technical job!
