Estrogen - gel or patches?

I've been on HRT a few years now (and will be on it until my dying days!) I'm on a 75mg patch but haven't been able to get Estradot for a long time. I'm now being given Evorel and I absolutely hate them. They are huge, crumple easily, don't stick properly yet are a nightmare to peel off. This morning I wasted TWO because when I was unpeeling the backing the patch curled up and caught onto the corner of itself and then I couldn't unstick it (even though it doesn't stick that well onto my skin!!) Ugh sorry for the rant but it's bringing back my menopausal rage!! I'm wondering if gel would be better? Or is it just as much of a faff? Do you have to apply a lot to get my dosage? Does it take ages to dry in? Finally, should we crowdfund to build a load of Estradot factories?!

I use the gel and it dries pretty quickly. I apply it with the bottle cap, one full pump is a dose and I use two, one on each inner thigh.
It dries while I'm doing my makeup.
By bottle cap I mean I pump onto that and use it to spread the gel

I had a very similar experience to you.
The equivalent dose of Estrogel to your patch is 3 pumps.

In an ideal world I would have stuck with Estradot but couldn't get them due to supply issues.

Ultimately I found Estrogel was better then Everol but not as convinent as Estradot.

I’m the same as Blondie - gel is more faffy but it’s better than big itchy patches. A big fat yes to crowdfunding a new estradot factory!

Thanks ladies, I'm still considering it. I might ask if I can get the gel for one month just to compare.
