How to get rid of HRT patch glue remnants on skin?

Lostatsea2025 · 11/08/2025 08:51

I started HRT 3 weeks ago and change my patch twice weekly. When I remove it, it leaves a mark around the skin (seems to be tiny bits of fluff from my underwear mixed with the glue). Has anyone found a good way to get rid of these without scrubbing the top however many layers of skin away!? Thanks

You may think this awful but I just leave it. It’s not on an area anyone but me and DH see so who cares. I ended up with sore skin when I tried to remove it despite using the things mentioned here.

I’ve heard that eye make up remover works.

Stoma care spray, it cost about a tenner from the chemist or Amazon but each spray lasts about six months.
It's a game changer

Mine picks off easily and it's quite fun/satisfying to do so.

Thank god! I thought it was just me!

If you put the patch on an oily bit of skin, will it stick?

😉

RhinestoneCowgirl · 12/08/2025 22:15

I use baby oil and swap sides each time I put a patch on so avoid sticking the new one on to an oily bit.

fruitandvegoverload · 13/08/2025 09:06

You're supposed to swap sides with the patch anyway.

Found these after trying oils, sprays etc and they work very well for me.

Rub it with the old patch, I read that on here and it works great
