Sleep (or lack of it!)

I’ve been on HRT since May (oestrogen- I have a coil for progesterone).

it has helped with so much, but not my ability to sleep. Particularly falling asleep. I can feel utterly exhausted but still take hours to fall asleep. And waking up in night.

It’s driving me batshit. I can’t take magnesium because it interacts with some heart medication I’m on.

Swap the coil for micronised progesterone, that has a mildly soporific effect. I've slept much better since taking it.

If you’re mind is a little active, try a sleep podcast. My current favorite is Sleepy Journeys.

I got the coil to help with flooding and heavy periods when they started to go all over the place. It’s also contraception as I’m only peri, so although pretty slim (I’m 44), there is still a chance!
