HRT Cycle Day Confusion

I’m on daily Oestrogel and add oral progesterone on cycle day 15 for 12 days (finishing on cycle day 26).

Would I consider day 1 of my cycle the first day of a bleed or should I just count 28 days as a standard cycle and start counting a new cycle from day 29?

The reason I’m asking is because I usually start bleeding around cycle day 24 so my thoughts are to count day 24 as day 1 of a new cycle but i should still be taking my progesterone at that point so it doesn’t seem right.

Does anyone else have the same dilemma?

The answer to your dilemma is to start the 12 days on the SAME DATE each month.

The day or 2 extra in a 30-day month isn't relevant.

My consultant advises women to choose a day like the 1st (example) and do the 12 days from then, every month.

You cannot work this around your own cycle because eventually you will miss several periods in row, or some may some much earlier, etc.
