Hi , I’m post meno & I’ve had ongoing problems wiith HRT I just can’t get the right balance
I was on Everol 75 and 2x 100mg Utrogestan.
i started very slight spotting in May 25 had a pelvic scan which revealed I had thickening of 5.3 so over the 4mm
I’ve been referred to Community Gynaecology , the spotting had stopped after reducing my patch to 62.5mcg with the advice of the Dr After speaking to the Gynaecologist he advised another pelvic scan & if still thickened then a Hysteroscopy
However my appointment with them isn’t until Oct
Has anyone had a lining at 5.3 should I be worried ?

It depends how long you've been using combined continuous HRT.
How long?
It can take 6 months to settle down.
Also, you need to make sure you really are post meno- over 54 or no periods for a year before using combined continuous.

Ways to help Utrogestan more effective are taking it with food (doubles the efficacy.)

If the lower dose of estrogen stops the spotting then you don't need a further investigation.

That lining measurement is barely above the threshold and it is not usually a big problem which is why it's not urgent.

Thankyou so much for your reply & reassurance I’ve been on HRT for 4 years , I seem to be ok for a while with dosage then the spotting starts .
I reduced the dose last month & then today a slight spotting again .
So Im currently on 62.5mcg , I’m thinking about reducing down to 50mcg as I’m having constant problems . I’ve got a breast clinic appointment tomorrow as I’ve found a lump in my breast , last year I had a lump in the same breast & the Dr at the breast clinic said that I’ve got scattered cysts in my right breast which she’d expect as I’m on HRT

I know that women can have cysts without being on HRT my mum had a fair few removed .
Im just so tired of the worry and stress & dreading tomorrow

@Trixie2012 How did you get on?

Thankyou for thinking of me , I had a mammogram and scan which showed a cyst , I am so relieved my anxiety was through the roof yesterday .
The Dr said that the cyst is small but enough to cause pain , she offered to aspirate it but said maybe it’s best left alone as it might shrink .
