Lump in breast

Hi , I’ve got a referral to the breast clinic next week due to a lump in my right breast, I had a lump in the same breast last year and the Dr at the breast clinic diagnosed a cyst . I do have scattered cysts in this breast

This one started a few weeks ago it was painful & the lump obvious , however it’s no longer painful and as the appointment is getting closer I’m getting really scared of cancer . A relative had cancer that didn’t get picked up on a mammogram or scan at the breast clinic she was sent away each time , she fought for further tests and it turned out she had an Estrogen fed form of cancer that had spread consequently leading to a mastectomy.
Im not thinking rationally I know but I’m so worried

That's worrying for you OP and the waiting is the worst. The radiologist at the clinic did say to me that fibrocystic disease can be asymptomatic and painless so hopefully it is just another cyst. They say not to be panicked by comparing your experience to others but it's human nature to worry and think the worst. Good luck. 🤞

Thankyou for your replies , the Dr said cancer doesn’t come with pain but I’ve read of ladies that had pain which was cancer
Each case is different I know but I’m on HRT and it seems to be constant problems with spotting and now a lump in my breast which as my meno Dr said nothing to do with HRT . I’m just tired of the worry of it all . My dr said the lump could be a cyst but she obviously can’t be sure

I think HRT can impact breast cysts. I had quite a few drained whilst on HRT

Are you still on HRT ? Were your cysts painful when they flared up ?
