I’ve started the evorel 50 combination patch - 2 x patches per week everel 50 for first fortnight and then 2 x conti for second fortnight. I’ve felt sad and tearful and a mix of ready to explode. It’s only been a few weeks, but should I be feeling like this so quickly? Do I need to get used to it over a few months? I am struggling. I’ve also started the estrogel for dryness.

The dreams are something else too.

I find that about 1-2 days into my oestrogen only patches I get very tearful and weepy, and 1-2 days into my conti/progesterone I feel absolutely exhausted and very pmt ish. My cycle doesn’t match my patches either so I also get actual pmt as well 🤷‍♀️

How long have you been taking them and have you had to alter dose? Do you mean you’re not on a 28 day cycle?

@Collcumber I have been on them for 2 years now. My natural menstrual cycle is around 30-31 days so it’s not ‘in sync’ with the 28 day cycle of the patches if that makes sense? So I get symptoms of pmt but I also notice hormonal shifts with the patches as well. I need to switch to a mirena coil and oestrogen I think 🤔

That’s tricky. There must be lots in your position. My cycle is 26-30. Always has been.
