Am I having hot flushes or is it just hot?

I've had a couple of niggles that I may be in peri-menopause. I'm also experiencing a lot of stress at home and work right now and I am 39, which I think is a bit on the young side? So I'm not sure what is going on.
My symptoms which could also all be related to stress have been really bad anxiety to the point of feeling sick, more tearful, feeling down, easily irritated, not sleeping well and a month long period.
I now think I could be having hot flushes but I'm not sure as it is around 27 degrees in my house. I'm not consistently feeling so hot, always warm but then I'm having some periods where I feel hotter and clammy, my chest is covered in sweat and I feel dizzy I'm so hot. Is this a hot flush or am I just overheating due to the weather?

Sounds like stress and hormones, not necessarily anything menopause related at your age. Lack of sleep and stress can play havoc. Try to take things easy, eat well - don't resort to chocolate, cake and biscuits if you can and maybe get some easy things in for meals. Steer clear of alcohol. I'm older and on HRT. Eating crap and drinking more than a glass or two of anything ruin my sleep quality.

Thanks for your reply. I don't drink but I definitely eat way too much sugar and fat! I will pay more attention to my diet.

You've been bleeding for a whole month?

Heavily?

See your GP. You need a test for anaemia at least and also to think about treatment for heavy periods.

The other symptoms could be peri menopause but first, get your bloods done to see if it's anaemia.
