Sudden change to cycle/period

Not quite sure what is happening! Im going to make a dr appointment (if I can get one) but wanted to explain on here too incase anyone has had similar.

I'm 48 and have been on HRT for 2.5 years - patches, then gel and utrogestan tablets. The whole time I've had regular periods/ bleeds every 26 days or so with the usual format of a light day or two, then a few heavy days, then lighter finish.

This month at 23 days I had some brown blood, then nothing for a bit, then very light red blood but its all mainly been when I wipe, nothing much on a pad. I think had nothing and a tiny bit of brown spotting again. That was then over and I've now just experienced some reddy brown blood on the loo paper only 10 days later. Nothing yet on a pad though, just that bit of blood earlier today, nothing since.

I'm mainly worried that the GLP1 medication I'm on has meant I'm not absorbing the progesterone well enough and I then worry about endometrial cancer. I'll make an appointment but has anyone else had this? Everyone was consistent until this month.

I'd not panic over cancer as it's very rare indeed for women on HRT (stats show the figures.)

TBH your withdrawal bleeds prior to this seem early. Most women bleed 2-4 days after the last progesterone tablet, but sometimes it's early.

Makes it seem as if your own periods were ruling the bleed not the progesterone.

I dont know what GLP1 is...?

@JinglingSpringbellsthank you, that really makes a lot of sense! Maybe things are changing to be more in line with the progesterone and maybe natural progression of peri menopause.

GLP1 is weight loss medication (mounjaro) which I've been on since Feb.

I got a GP appointment today and she's referred me for a pelvic ultrasound, just to check my womb lining but she said she isn't concerned. Hard not to worry though! I'm probably going to go onto continuous progesterone now rather than cyclical.
