Tip: keeping Oestrogel in the fridge

last summer my HRT stopped working, I started waking up at night with a racing heartbeat again and I was worried that I was back to terrible broken sleep. I started keeping the gel in the fridge (threw the old one away), and it’s been fine since. The last few days I’ve been travelling, and could not keep the gel in the fridge, and after two days I started waking up in the night again just like before HRT. It doesn’t say anything about storage temperature on the information sheet, but I think my criteria for scientific rigour have been met and I’ll be buying one if those chilled bags people use for insulin. I hope this can help if anyone else is struggling!

This is interesting. My flat gets incredibly hot in summer - anything over 25 degrees and my flat is over 30. It’s horrible and I have thought before now that most meds say not to store over a certain temp. It didn’t occur to me that that included Oestrogel! And yet I’ve been having terrible anxiety lately. Such as you describe with late night racing heart, etc., and I couldn’t figure out why.

If this is the reason that might make some more sense of it.
