Hi , long story but I had to reduce my HRT estrogen due to spotting , this was advised by my menopause Dr . I’ve got an appointment soon for a pelvic scan
I reduced my patch a few weeks ago , however last night my right boob was so Achey it felt like I’d been bruised , after having a feel there is a small lump
Im freaking out as a year ago I had a lump on the same boob but just above my nipple this one is on the side . I’m trying to get a Dr appointment, last year I had a mammogram and scan for the lump on top of my boob and the radiologist said I’ve got scattered cysts in my right boob , the lump last year wasn’t painful

Ive had similar & also had to reduce my oestrogen patch. I was diagnosed with lots of cysts in my right boob last year, one large, which I had drained. Another popped up about 7 weeks ago & it was achey at first but settled after a few days. I saw the GP & am back on the 2 week wait for the breast clinic. I haven’t been yet as it’s an 8 week wait here 😳 but I feel it’s very much the same as last year as it’s so big & grew so quickly.

Thankyou for your reply it’s constant worrying an 8 week wait is even more concerning . I’m in London last year I was seen at the breast clinic within 2 weeks but things can change in a year . The ache in my breast started yesterday then I felt the lump and was shocked it’s always terrifying
During my scan last year the radiologist said she’d expect me to have cysts because I’m on HRT
Women that are not on HRT can get cysts !

Im praying that this is what this lump is if it isn’t one thing it’s another and I almost feel like stopping HRT .

The wait isn’t good & I did look into private but it was £1000 for the consultation, mammogram, scan & possible drainage. My appointment is next week, so not long to wait. I hope you get seen soon too.

Private is very expensive but I think if I could afford it I’d do it as the waiting lists are too long in the mean time we don’t know what’s wrong or could be spreading . All the very best of luck at your appointment
