Could I be having early menopause?

I’m 35 years old. I’ve not had a period since before my daughter was born which will be 3 years at the end of the year. I put it down to the fact I was breastfeeding which is why it hasn’t come back. I’m still breastfeeding her but cut down a lot. The past couple months I haven’t felt right. My anxiety is so bad. One day I’m happy the next day I want to cry all day. I can’t sleep properly. My skin is itchy like so so itchy. I happened to google some of my symptoms and it came up signs of early menopause. I’ve made an appointment for next week with my doctors. Would a blood test be able to determine if it was?

It could be. It happened to me, and in hindsight I was able to recognise menopause symptoms like hot flushes and achy joints that I’d put down to having a baby and breastfeeding!
But itchy skin could also be thyroid function, or anaemia or something else entirely 🤷🏻‍♀️ Could you be pregnant again? 🫣
Either way, you need to find out what it is as still having amennorhea is not “normal” and I’m sure the Dr will run a full load of tests to get to the bottom of it.

Thanks for getting back to me! I don’t think I’m pregnant, I suffer with hg in all my pregnancies - I’ve got 3 kids. It’s always one of the first ways I realise I am. What happened when you experienced it? Have you been put on medication etc and does it affect you daily? I’m really worrying and stressing myself out.

So sorry, I hadn’t noticed the reply (notifications must have been up the swanny)!

I can’t remember why (possibly smear test?) but I mentioned to the Dr that I hadn’t had a period for two years after having my youngest. I’d put it down to bf but he sent me for tests at the hospital due to my age (32) and I found out I had premature ovarian failure or whatever it’s called now. Early menopause basically.

So I’ve been on HRT since then and it’s been very boring and easy tbh! Not planning on coming off HRT any time soon, I’m now 48.

Hey, a little update and hoping someone can help! I went to my doctors and he suggested bloods be taken and a scan on my ovaries. I got the blood done last week and received a text this evening that said - one of your hormone markers was raised and needs further investigation.

what could this mean?! I have such bad health anxiety and the really vague message has just made me super worried! The scan appointment isn’t until the beginning of September! What could it be? I’m so confused.
