Testosterone - what benefits have you noticed?

I've been on HRT (oestrogel and 100mg continuous utrogestan) for almost a year. Feeling so much better and many symptoms have disappeared. Im still experiencing some symptoms on and off - tiredness even when sleeping well, low motivation at work, heavy limbs, painful joints (shoulders, knees and toes especially - that's almost a song!) and I'm wondering whether adding testosterone might be a good idea

I have a blood test coming up to check my baseline T levels. Could you share what you feel testosterone replacement has done for you, and did you have a hard time getting it prescribed on the NHS? Thanks

I got it on NHS from my GP. It helped to reverse my clitoral atrophy, and gave me my orgasms back! I had one absolutely mind blowing one about a week into treatment and then it settled down a bit but still glad I have it!

Sounds impressive @SnowflakeSmasher86 👍 . Good to hear that you had no problem getting it prescribed

My sex drive has returned.
I also think it's helped with the brain fog and stamina, but it's not licenced for that, so my fucking rude, patronising, thoroughly awful gynae consultant won't discuss those benefits.

I think she just doesn't like the fact that I originally was prescribed testosterone privately.....

It makes a huge difference to my energy levels. I literally crash without it. I only notice a difference to my libido with Androfeme which is the more expensive one.

Thanks all 👍 will see what the blood test result shows and then think about a conversation with my GP

Not much for my sex drive but my brain fog has gone, my bone pain has gone, I no longer feel terrible apathy and I have so much more energy. I have been on gel and progesterone tablets for 13 months but within 2 weeks of testosterone I felt like myself again. My blood tests did show I was a little low.

The only thing it did for me was give me a patch of long dark hair on each thigh. So disappointing!
