Feel like I'm losing my mind

I'm 44 and very likely to be in perimenopause. Lately, the most worrying symptom is forgetfulness, sometimes little things like where I put things, but now tasks I have done every day at work for the last 10 years I'm not doing and could have serious consequences. Can anyone offer advice on what I can do to help? My doctor just says my cycle is still pretty regular so can't help.

See a gynae who specialises in menopause and get hrt. Some GPs are hopeless with meno. Or try a different GP. I had terrible cognitive issues pre hrt.

Have had very similar issues too. Mid sentence panic as I can’t remember the word for what I am wanting to say and then desperately trying to think of how else to complete the sentence. It’s denting my confidence, especially it a work situation 😩

Practically you can set up alarms and reminders on your phone?

HRT will help dramatically if this is peri. You can get it while still menstruating regularly.

Can relate as im exactly like this too, I literally cannot remember where I put something just seconds ago. Mind goes blank mid sentence. It's awful as I feel like my brain is dying. I feel so inadequate. I get so angry with myself for not remembering anything.
I used to be so sharp with a fantastic memory. Also cannot get HRT because im not yet experiencing hot flushes, although I have every other symptom. im no help op but just want to let you know you're not alone.
