Silly question about oestrogen gel

I’ve literally just started it last night. Because I know I’m quite sensitive to oestrogen (most types of the pill used to make me throw up) the GP suggested I start on half a pump for the first couple of weeks. She said to pump out one pump and put it on a plate and use half of it.

My silly question is - can I use the half dose that’s been on the plate tonight or should I chuck it because it’s been sat out? Or should I just try and pump out half a pump at a time?!

Chuck the half pump-it won’t be stable if it’s been left out in the air for 24 hours. You will find a way that suits you but probably best to
pump out a full pump then you can visually see that you are only applying half a pump.

You can get half a pump by not pressing the plunger right down.
Okay it's not 100% accurate, but neither is dividing the blob on the plate!

Leaving it out overnight means the alcohol with have evaporated and it may not be absorbed as well. If you really want to try that way I'd squirt it into a tiny pot (the sort they give make samples in- 5ml) and put the top back on.

Also- very important- the estrogen in HRT is not the same as in the Pill.
The Pill has a stronger synthetic estrogen and it's nothing like HRT estrogen which is body-identical (same as our own.)
