Hot Flashes / Flushes

Another one from me - apologies but hearing other people's experience s is really helpful.

I didn't really think I got hot flushes but it's dawning on me that actually I do. They seem to occur when it's hot and I have to walk hard and fast or for a long time. My face goes very red and I am dripping in sweat and take a while to recover - I have never previously had anything like this. I thought I was just overheating from over-exertion in the heat and that I am not fit enough, but it's really extreme. I don't know how to tell?

I think this indicates as per my previous thread that oestrogen is too low?

I get them at night time mostly. For me they are more prevalent when I’ve drank alcohol in the week or so before too

So I get night sweats too - those feel easier to identify, and yes much worse with any amount of alcohol. The overheating is a bit different

Mostly I have them at night. There's a whole sequence: as my sleep cycle moves to lighter sleep, the hormones surge/dip and the hot flush comes on, waking me fully. I throw off the covers and doze off again only to wake up because I'm cold without the covers ...

It's a horrible, prickly, sweaty feeling. Frequently, my lower body is very tingly as it starts. I haven't noticed any correlation with alcohol.

Occasionally I have them in the daytime, more often in warm weather and if my clothes are a little too warm for the weather. These ones are uncomfortable but are quicker.
