What's Happening To Me?

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anybody has experienced this? A couple of months ago I started taking Apple Cider Vinegar gummies to help aid a knee injury, unknown to me, ACV can delay periods...so my period was 7 days late (I was frantic). I stopped taking the ACV as I had been taking it for nearly a month and stopped as soon as I found out it had delayed the period. 20 days after my late period, I get a tiny little bit of blood and three days of brownish discharge and that was it. My period is normally every 22/23 days so it was odd for me to have the late period (which ended up being 33 days which differed from my usual 22/23 days) and then this 'short period' 20 days later. Right now I am on day 30 since that last short 'period', I feel emotional, extra hungry, achy, tired etc, all the symptoms but no blood. I am 42 years old, not pregnant, I'm a vegetarian and eat one meal per day as part of a OMAD diet/lifestyle. I took a peri/menopause test twice and the results were negative. I took a thyroid test and that was deemed normal. I do suffer from low iron which i keep in check with daily Floradix. Can anyone relate to any of this? Thank you x

Ignore the 'menopause/peri' test and don't waste your money on any more, at your age its down to symptoms as your hormones can fluctuate enormously day to day. You are at the age I was when my periods started to become totally erratic, could be exactly when expected, weeks late and then months apart, some were very light, others so heavy that I was really worried. It turned out that menopause was creeping in to my life and I didnt know, I did see my gp who was absolutely useless so eventually I went private and started HRT because multiple other symptoms had joined the period confusion, the additional symptoms didn’t appear until a few years of wonky periods. I'd say you are at the very start of it, I doubt the ACV had any input and is just coincidence. Keep a note of periods and any other symptoms that appear then chat to your GP and decide if you want HRT. Remember needing it could be years away, some women don't want it at all and others start asap, its up to you. I joined a menopause group on fb called Irish Menopause or something like that, it has members from all over and is very informative

It can't.

I don't know what OMAD is but if you're under nourished it can play havoc with your cycle and you can end up with no periods and that can affect your overall health including your bone density.

You are probably in peri menopause, but I'd make sure you're eating healthily and not short of iron for example if you eat no meat.
