I am almost 52 with a very annoying, regular as clockwork period.
I am on a low dose oestrogen gel (1 pump) and continuous 100mg Utrogestan daily (I didn’t get on with taking it cyclically) period still used to come on time whilst doing this.
just over a week ago I looked forward to end of June and realised my period was going to clash with a beach holiday so thought ‘I know, I’ll take Norethisterone for a few days to push it forward so next month it won’t clash’.
I took the tablets for about 4 days (3 a day) and then stopped, thinking that would be enough to push next months period forward. Well I’ve been off the Norethisterone for 4 days now and no period has arrived. I’m not taking progesterone either, thinking the drop off in progesterone would trigger a period but nothing.
Im riddled with hormonal anxiety and feel wired and odd. Very ‘PMS’ like. Shocking sleep, night sweats and hot / cold - I don’t usually suffer with this.
what on earth have I done, where is my period and if I wait will it appear? I feel properly out of sorts! Like it’s going to arrive but nothing
