Feeling sad, mood changes and menopause

dearydeary · 01/06/2025 17:56

I am 52 and have stopped periods for over a year and just feel that my mood and motivation have crashed

Previously I would get up and motivate myself but now I just cannot seem to.

Feeling tearful and sad and fearful for the future

Is this menopause?

I am similar age to you and have regular periods but can relate to the sad and fearful for the future. Have you got a GP that specialises in menopause you could get an apt with? I am thinking of doing the same

Are you on HRT? It helps.

dearydeary · 01/06/2025 19:11

Thanks for replying

Not on HRT. I tried this a couple of years ago and did not get on with the ultrogestan.

I have just taken a real dip the last few months ☹️

It's worth trying again and with.a different dosage? Bit of tinkering needed.
Afraid exercise and no alcohol helps too. It's very boring.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 01/06/2025 19:25

it probably is 💐

Worth trying HRT again as your hormone levels will have changed since last time

diet & exercise also help as well xxx sorry OP, it sucks doesn’t it

dearydeary · 01/06/2025 19:29

Exercise definitely helps but feel so tearful and low

I would like to speak to GP but appointments are difficult to get (anima app🙄)

Last time blood pressure was high 😬
