Should I give up on Mirena - BV :(

I think I’ve got a recurrence of BV after developing this for the first time in March. Mirena coil was fitted in January and the spotting/low level bleeding has only just settled down.

So that’s why I’m now noticing that I’ve got a greyish discharge which looks suspiciously like the first infection 😣

I’ve never had BV (that I know of) prior to the coil so obviously I’m linking it with that.

I had it fitted for the progesterone element of HRT and apart from the low level bleeding and the BV I have been feeling much more calm and less like I’m on a hormone rollercoaster. I didn’t like the progesterone tablets as my mood would drop quite suddenly. I’m on 75mg patches.

If the coil is going to keep giving me BV then quite honesty I want it out. But I’ll lose the benefits of a more even mood - and the contraceptive element obviously - though that’s not exactly been used to maximum effect at the moment thanks to bleeding/BV/vanishing libido.

Maybe i just get the coil removed and go back down a dose of HRT to the mixed evirol conti patches, and try to manage or cope with any recurring peri symptoms around mood/mental health stuff?

I’m so fed up with peri - it’s relentless and I can’t seem to settle into any kind of normality for more than a few short weeks before some new symptom or issue shows up :(
