Infernal spotting

Have just turned 50 so thinking this is to be expected, but just wondering if others have had the same? Have started getting a slight brownish/pinkish discharge some days when not on my (irregular!) period, not every day - have googled and some info says random brown discharge is normal in peri and some say it's a worrying symptom. Just wondering what other people's experiences are (will contact GP but just wondering)

My first two years on hrt was fine but the last two years has been a combination of spotting to full blown period with excruciating cramps. Can’t fault the nhs as all necessary investigations have been ruled out and I’m still seeing the gynaecologist, my own gp has been good at letting me experiment with painkillers but it looks like it’s just hormonal imbalance

its def worth seeing your gp though it’s way to easy to dismiss symptoms as just natural menopausal symptoms when it could be much more serious
