Brown discharge no period 44 year old

Had the above for around 7 days period was due thought it was starting and nothing boobs have started to hurt and keep getting some pains is this just what’s expected at my time peri ?

I took one mid morning albeit wasn’t FMU and a 99p one I’ve took that many tests over the years it was negative

Still nothing this morning except brown when I wipe

Might be worth seeing the GP for hcg just in case as brown discharge plus late period and symptoms could be an ectopic

I know… I’ve done a test and it’s negative yesterday at lunch I’m getting all the signs period is coming bit this has been 11 days of this never been like this before

It's perimenopause, I ve had very strange brown discharge, it's oxidated (old) blood. The lining is shedding slowly due to fluctuating hormones. I m 46 now and still getting periods, but they are impossible to predict. I find exercise helps to get things moving. Sex can help too.
