Bleeding on the pill but not on a break .

Hi all ,

I have just turned 50 and today I have stated bleeding whilst taking the combined pill. I have been on the same pill for 5 years and this has never happened before . I have what feels like cramps and spotting. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this ?

Yes my Dd2 has been having this . Gp suggested it was hormones and /or fibroids .
GP did bloods, then referred her for a scan .
