How do you all remove the nice sticky squares left on your skin after every patch change?
I’ve got nice black fluffy squares on my bum!
tried oil and it wouldn’t shift it

I'm on painkillers patches rather than hormonal ones but I get residue from them too. Some shower gel on a sponge with a rough side and just gently scrub the area in circles usually shifts it. I do mean shower sponges - not the kitchen dishes type one. I usually get them from home bargains.

Having tried everything, the only thing that works for me is nail varnish remover.

Thereisatimeandaplace · 23/05/2025 12:38

Baby oil on cotton wool works for me.

SabrinaThwaite · 23/05/2025 12:39

Baby oil on cotton wool, but might take a couple of goes.

abdnhiker · 24/05/2025 09:15

Any type of body oil - but the important step is to wait a while before scrubbing- rub it in then leave it for a couple hours (under clothes is fine) and the adhesive will dissolve and then it rubs off. If you try to rub it off immediately with the oil it’s still too ‘stuck’.

Acetone, nail polish remover and probably WD40 ( seriously)

Fitzcarraldo353 · 24/05/2025 09:21

I caved into my Instagram ads and bought this stuff
https://www.nudispray.com/

To be fair, it is excellent.

Nudi Spray™

Zoff wipes.

GU24Mum · 24/05/2025 14:27

Another vote for nail varnish remover. I tried the Nudi spray a PP mentioned but it didn’t seem to do anything at all.

OrsolaRosso · 24/05/2025 14:30

When you take the patch off, use it to rub the residue off. It's a bit like using a bigger blob of blu tak to remove smaller bits.

MrsEmmelinePankhurst · 24/05/2025 14:31

Another vote for baby oil on cotton wool. Don’t put the patches on your bum though, as reaching that far round to scrub the residue off can be tricky! I stick them on the front/side of my upper thighs.

AllTheChatsAboutTea · 24/05/2025 15:15

Baby oil

ladymalfoy45 · 24/05/2025 15:20

I've got a Korean flannel. And Amoriolite.
I just scrub when I change legs and shave the sections of thigh I put the patches on.

SuperBlondie28 · 24/05/2025 23:54

Baby oil on cotton wool! Takes a bit of scrubbing though.

bettybadger · 25/05/2025 09:38

I just buy medical adhesive remover spray off Amazon - whichever is cheapest at the time. They all seem to work well.
