I've been on hrt about 4 years, initially prescribed by gp. About 18 months ago decided to try private clinic as I was a weepy moody mess most of the time with periodic rage etc.

After a few months of one thing and another being tweaked I was put on testosterone gel which has basically sorted me out.

But despite ever increasing levels of progesterone (Utrogestan) I kept bleeding and spotting. I'm now up to 3 tablets vaginally every night and still spotting. The gp says they won't prescribe 300mg as above NICE guideline, and frankly I don't want to take it. But I haven't been given an option.

I'm waiting for another internal scan to check on my womb lining ( had one a few months ago that was non conclusive). Then there's talk of biopsies.

No other advice in the meantime and every time I consult the private clinic it's £120 for a 15 minute call...

Considering a hysterectomy now but not sure what the implications of that are...
