Episiotomy Scar Splitting

I’m finding since hitting the menopause my episiotomy scar is becoming sore, irritated and widening from end to end. I live with sudocream on it, but going to the loo and wiping just keeps re-informing the problem. I’m not constipated but the area is so delicate, it constantly “smarts”. Anyone else suffering like this. It’s impossible to have intimacy

Go to your GP!
Our delicate skin down there thins as we age and go through menopause. Many of us have been there. There’s plenty on the internet about this. MN often “talks” about it.

Your doctor can prescribe for this. Blessed comfort awaits you. You probably just need a hormone replenishment cream.

You need vaginal estrogen cream - ask your GP to prescribe it!

Mine has gone from a feint white line to looking pink/red much of the time & looks like it's widening too. It can also occasionally bleed slightly when wiping. Weirdly it's rarely sore (apart from the occasions it bleeds). I've been told I have mild vaginal atrophy found incidentally at a gynae appointment as it wasn't causing symptoms (apart from the slight bleeding from the scar and sometimes elsewhere down there) and was prescribed estriol and I think it looks less red now.
