my periods are coming more regularly than ever (28-29) days but I bleed for 10 days - 3/4 days normal then spotting, maybe a day of no bleeding in there too. Is this a perimenopausal sign?

How old?
Could be, or could be a fibroid(s) or could just be hormonal imbalance.

Ask your dr.

I used to get a few cycles like this but not until my periods got very iffy at around 52- now 53 and still having them, but maybe every 2-3 months. Now they tend to be light.

Agree with pixiepip, I'd ask my GP - could be any number of things.

mine was same, was a hormone imbalance - not enough of something, so i went on a type of pill for a couple of months, which did sort it out, but it was heavier and shorter,so i gave up on them. They were only intended for the short term anyway, for my body to re-fix itself. They aren't too bad at the mo, not as bad as they were.

I'm 36 but warned I may have an early menopause. I'm TTC too. Have had my day 4 hormone bloods done by gynae dr and due to have day 21 blds done to see if I'm ovulating so guess I'll soon find out.

Thanks for your replies.

It's worth getting your doc to do a bi-manual check, just to rule out fibroids, cysts, etc. My periods went haywire and it was caused by an ovarian cyst, which had been growing for years
