Perimenopause and HRT

Hey all,
I am 44 and perimenopausal. GP put me on HRT patches about 5 months ago. I have combi for about 10 days and 50 the rest of the month. On the whole my horrid mood swings have settled. However, the last couple of months I am feeling really irritable and low when on the combi patches.
Any advice?
Do I have to have progestone? I am still having periods. Do I need estrogen increase?
I will go the GP next week but appointments but would just like to know what I'm hoping for as last time she was lovely but very much asking what it is I want which was overwhelming. They don't prepare you for this when you start your periods! It's a minefield!
Thanks in advance x

Hopefully someone will come along with better advice. I’m on patches two weeks estrogen and two weeks combined. I m o my second month and I have been more ragey I’m hoping it settles. Also hoping it helps with aches and pains.

one option I know is available is the mirena coil which produces progesterone.

ive got the balance app which has some interesting articles on it
