I’m 41 and about a year ago my ear canals started itching….initially thought I must have got an infection on holiday but after many back and forths to the GP and pharmacist it became clear that my ears were apparently not infected.

I now have learnt that apparently itchy ears are a sign of perimenopause so im assuming this is what this is what the issue is. But christ alive it is driving me BONKERS. It’s got worse and only seems to ease for approx a week or so out of every month. I’ve tried drops, I’ve tried olive oil, i’ve tried doing absolutely nothing.

Does anyone have any remedies?? I can’t keep going with these ears!!

Have you tried treating the perimenopause?
I had horrific itching as my first dnd main symptom. HRT has cleared it up completely!

I also have menopausal itchy ears, I also had menopausal itchy vagina. My vagina was easily fixed with Ovestin cream but my ears remain itchy. I pop in some drops called Clear every week or so and that helps. Or olive oil will probably do the trick menopause is the gift that keeps on giving.

Must admit I haven’t! The itching seems to be the only thing and I assumed the GP wouldn’t consider me for HRT this young? Or I am wrong?!
