Can estrogen only patches stop periods?

As above...

I just started (cyclical) HRT. Stuck a 50mg estrogen patch on day 1 of my period, which then only lasted 48 hours.

My periods have been getting shorter - gone from 7 days to 4, but they've never been this short before.

Now I'm not sure if it's peri progressing, or if it's because of the patch ?

Thanks to all for reading !

Nothing to do with the patch- it's your own blood loss getting less, which is caused by lower estrogen levels .
