Peppy app via Vitality?

Has anyone used this service and how was it? I have been around the traps with private and NHS doctors and can’t get sorted with my peri and PMDD symptoms. The HRT I had from Newson sent me into an awful depression, am worried about the suggestion of Mirena and having worryingly heavy periods.

Have booked a Peppy app but can’t cope with more advice that isn’t right for me etc

What exactly is it? Is it AI? Or are you 'speaking' to medics with menopause expertise?

TBH there are plenty of very good specialists out there.
Newson's default is Utrogestan which not all women get on with.
There are other options including, as you say, a Mirena coil. Or different types of progesterone.

Nothing else will deal with those heavy periods as well as a Mirena or surgery (eg ablation.)

You can always try a Mirena for 3 months and have it removed if it's not for you.

@JinglingSpringbells thank you. Yeah not sure if it was the Utrogestan or increasing doses of oestrogen she had me on! Was so much better off any until now.

Peppy app is a bit of AI I think but you book with an actual dr. It’s all part of the health insurance so will try it.

I’ve lost faith in everything TBH! Have been self-medicating the past week with some Cyclogest pessaries which seemed to give immediate relief, but also caused mega bloating and acne. Sertraline helped the PMDD but side effects meant I came off it.

You’re right, best give Mirena a shot… then maybe add in estrogen to see what’s causing the sensitivity. Heavy periods would surely indicate excessive estrogen at least at that time of the month? Aghhhh
