Cramps

Is this normal?

Late 40's. PMS symptoms seem to be getting worse each cycle.

The worst being cramps 24-48 hours before my period starts along with bowel issues.

I got to a stage where I had period-like pain all the time. Male gynaecologist looked vaguely into the distance and murmured "yeah, that happens sometimes". It did ease off eventually.

@HappyDaysAreAhead My consultant advises starting Ibuprofen for 2- 3 days before a period starts. It evidently reduces the prostaglandin that is responsible for pain.

Thanks @JinglingSpringbells

Still struggling today.

I have 1 internally burning boob too! No idea what's causing that!

It almost feels like a stomach bug with added extras!
