gp wanted to review testosterone level so did bloods which showed my estradiol level is 104 p/mol

i have a review app with GP in a week or so but should I be aiming to increase hrt dose?

it’s hard to tell how i am feeling as I had a mayor sudden bereavement in November so feel low etc from that

Tests for estrogen are meaningless. I've never had one in over 15 years on HRT as my consultant (rightly) says they are inaccurate and would need to be done over 24 hours, continuously. There are scientific papers online that confirm this. The tests are inaccurate as they measure a snapshot in time, and not the whole body.

I'm sorry for your loss. Unless there is a reason to test your estrogen re. testosterone dose, the best thing to do is increase it if you feel your symptoms aren't being controlled.

Thanks very much x

yeah not sure why she tested E level as I never had that, maybe because she was doing free androgen test for T level ?

I don't know. I do know that there is some reason to stabilize estrogen and how much testosterone is prescribed - you could look this up and see why.
