Coming off the combined pill during perimenopause

Hi, first time posting on here and I'm desperate for some advice. A few months back I started flushing randomly after eating, when the heating was on, while cooking etc but my entire face was bright red and burning and it took 3 hours to go. Long story short looks like it was the combined pill as I stopped it and the flushing stopped. I went to the Dr who said my blood pressure was too high to go on another (I'm massively stressed at the mo with all of this) and come back in 2 weeks. Since stopping the pill I feel absolutely dreadful, I've been on it 16 years back to back to prevent migraines and now I've got headaches, migraines and overwhelming feelings of depression. It's a struggle to get up on a morning and I'm scared with how low I am. I'm 44 so pretty sure I'm in perimenopause, I'm thinking of asking the Dr for the mini pill and oestrogen patches. Does anyone have any advice/experience? I can't cope with feeling like this anymore. Thank you.

Thanks for your reply, I've had the mini pill in the past and it didn't agree so was worried about trying it again. Does your HRT have both hormones? Are you ok with it?
