Sequential HRT, period at wrong time, holiday looming!

Hoping for some advice from people who are more experienced with HRT.

My period has come right in the middle of the progesterone phase of my HRT. From googling, I think/hope this is normal in the first 6 months (which I am well within). I was still having irregular periods before I started HRT so I guess this is an actual one! It's normal flow etc.

As I'm having an actual period, can I now stop taking the progesterone a few days early, what do people think? If I keep taking it through the period, presumably I'll also get a withdrawal bleed afterwards which means essentially a fortnight of bleeding which is gonna screw up my holiday plans. (Why is being female so complicated!)

You won't bleed twice because the lining will have shed.

You need to keep taking it so that you get into an HRT cycle rather than trying to allow your own cycles to continue irregularly.

There is no 'rule' about it's normal within the first 6 months.
The 'first 6 months' is for women on combined continuous HRT (progesterone every day) when they can experience erratic spotting for 6 months.
