Is this period ever going to end!!!

I’m 50 next month. I’m on the mini oil and until a few months ago didn’t have periods. Then I had a couple of smeary gained periods only a couple days long.
this time I’ve been bleeding full on teenager period for about 12 days!

Today I’m getting stomach cramps. Im knackered and I feel like I’m going mad!

Has anyone else had this and when will it end? How long do I let it bleed before i start the mammoth task of trying to see a GP?

You can slow the flow with Tranexamic acid bought OTT or ibuprofen taken according to instructions.
See your GP when you can for a prescription for the former and maybe consider a Mirena coil if it keeps happening.

are you taking HRT?

I can beat that - I'm on week 5 and have only managed to slow it down with progesterone from the GP. I'm having a vaginal exam next week and have been referred for a scan, so hoping all goes well with both. Last period was 5 .5 weeks. Really depressing - at 56 I'm way too old for all this nonsense.
