HRT patches - residue

Has anyone found a way to get rid of the residue from the patches? Tired of
scrubbing my skin raw 😭

I put them just below my belly button so always have bits of fabric from my knickers stuck!

Oil based eye makeup remover usually works for me. I’ve read that baby oil is also good but I’ve not tried that

Pigeonqueen · 29/03/2025 17:40

Me too. I’ve given up worrying about it now, it comes off eventually. I heard some people swear by baby oil to remove it.

JamesWebbSpaceTelescope · 29/03/2025 17:40

Baby oil works a bit but you can also get adhesive removal sprays but that would get expensive.

LunaNorth · 29/03/2025 17:40

Zoff wipes from Amazon.

SoScarletItWas · 29/03/2025 17:41

This is why I came off patches and went to the spray, the bloody sticky residue!

I often used to scrape it off with my fingernail. Or baby oil would lift it more gently than scrubbing. Think I even tried nail polish remover after reading that somewhere…

Thanks all, will give baby oil and the wipes a go!

Also researching a spray….. this is new information!!

Baby oil.

Following with interest. The patch-shaped dark sticky lines are so attractive don’t you think?!

Yellowtulipsdancing · 29/03/2025 19:26

zoff wipes

Olive oil

Katherineryan1986 · 29/03/2025 19:29

I jusst use wipes that remove plaster residue, go them in Boots. It’s not a problem

Speckson · 29/03/2025 19:32

I have dressings that have to be changed every couple of days and I am given removal spray on prescription - it works extremely well and you need very little. The same stuff is available as wipes.

looselegs · 29/03/2025 19:38

Adhesive remover wipes from amazon. Great product!

Panoramicsunroof · 29/03/2025 19:46

I use the previous patch and rub over the marks. Has to be dry to work but it does the job.

JeanGenieJean · 29/03/2025 19:46

When you take the patch off, keep pressing it on and off the residue and most of it will come off. The rest will come off with a baby wipe or a bit of baby lotion

jackspratswife01 · 29/03/2025 19:48

Baby oil is great to remove the adhesive no issue at all

Especially when there are multiple ones 🤣

Nude underwear helps. The knicker fluff is still there....you just can't see it!😄

i use this as i seem to get a lot of residue and even with baby oil had to rub quite hard. I think it depends on your skin as my friend stopped the patches as they kept falling off and had no residue whereas mine are well stuck and it’s hard to pull them off and I have a thick dark line around them. This stuff is great and a pack lasts for ages.

Baby oil.

I’ve recently found that after you remove the old patch rubbing the area with the patch itself removed a lot of the residue. Like using blutac to remove dried in blutac.
