HRT for aching legs?

I'm 57 and through the menopause, but my legs seem to ache almost constantly. I've read that this can be due to falling levels of oestrogen and am seriously considering asking my GP about HRT.

Has anyone out there had success with this?

Thanks so much

I've not heard anything about HRT being a treatment for aching legs.

Can you be more specific? Is this joint pain? Does it coincide with walking or standing a lot? are you active, and not overweight?

Does your whole leg ache or just part of it?

Do you have varicose veins? They can cause legs to ache.

Also, how's your diet? Are you taking Vit D daily?

I'd see your GP and have a health MOT to check everything out before assuming it's related to menopause.

The aching is pretty much anywhere from knees upwards. I notice it whenever I'm on my feet but it's worse after sitting down for a long time. I'm not overweight and already take Vit D - also do pilates and stretch most days. No varicose veins and diet is good.
I'm going to make an appointment next week...
