I am soon to be 44 have endometriosis and am starting to really struggle with symptoms of peri. No libido, itchy sore vagina, achy joints particularly shoulders, low energy and mood. Any tips for my trip to the docs ? Many thanks ladies

My recent experience was as follows...
First conversation was very brief, they sent me for blood tests to check for any other causes of my symptoms and general health. I had a weight and blood pressure check. Second appointment was a longer chat about my symptoms and how they were impacting my life. Dr was incredibly sympathetic and I didn't have to beg. We talked about the different options and gave me a prescription for what we decided on. I have a review in 3 months time.
I think seeing the right Dr is key so hopefully your practice has someone suitable.

I think you need to explain how much of an impact the symptoms are having on your daily life. I’m 44 and started HRT about a year ago, they had no issue in prescribing it for me. However I have felt it hasn’t been working as well the past few months and haven’t got around to ordering it again. The past few days I’ve had awful night sweats so I know I need to contact them again and maybe try something different.

Getting checked out for other potential issues is a good idea, if the most likely cause is menopause then HRT is a great idea as 44 is at the young end and HRT provides clear health benefits in that case

Thanks my symptoms are making me feel so rubbish about myself and impacting on my relationships and work . I’m guessing bloods first and then see what happens how are you all feeling on HRT?

It's only been a few weeks for me so early days. My most troubling symptoms were mood swings/rages/crying all the time. I have felt calmer this past week so fingers crossed it's starting to work.

Was ok at lowest dose since 42 with fairly erratic periods but recently feeling yuck. Strange uncomfortable feeling down below, loss of pubic hair, ladies part feels like sandpaper.

I got put on hrt with a gynae issue and a few months after hysterscopy and when I tried for coil removal at sexual health clinic they said vaginal atrophy was seen, no bloods were ever taken.

If they try to put hrt up I’m at a point where I’ll be saying bloods first. I did buy a bundle from Yes but that only arrived couple of days ago.
