Perimenopause and low moods

Recently confirmed I’m in perimenopause after having blood tests.
i have been suffering regular low moods, moods where I don’t want to talk to anyone, can’t be bothered to do anything and generally just mope around the house being moody and can’t seem to snap out of it and then all of a sudden I will wake up days later and feel fine again until the next low mood appears.

i don’t really want to take medication such an anti depressants but has anyone taken a more natural medication that has helped them?

Hello, I definitely have this. I'm actually on anti-depressants due to some adverse life events (both parents dying and husband leaving), but I still have hormonal ups and downs which are markedly worse than before peri. I'm sure it would be worse without my pills.

In terms of natural help, getting outside early in the day to make the most of natural daylight and getting exercise helps lots of people, as does keeping up social contact.
