45 just spent 13 hrs in a&e

2 am Sat morning still up watching tv on sofa ! felt wet under me ?? Ohhh have I spilt a drink !
blood!!!!!! Watery didn’t even feel it come out me
ran to the loo ( just finished my last period near on a week ago)
heard plop!!!!!!! Had just had to dig it out and yes blood clot quit big
… then more started to leave me … getting bigger and bigger every two hours when I say leave me I mean i only had to stand up and put they fall ..
a&e !
biggest one left me In the loo there covered all my 4 fingers !
internal now with plastic thingy with loads of blood leaving me
gyneeeeeee said could be a number of things …age mini pill …
ohh also last May 2024 had two cysts on overies …. But after second t scan all neg and some desolved …
summer 2024 didn’t have a period for 14/16 weeks …. Moved house so stressed lost loads of went was not eating …
Smear always been up to date … had colpocosy for some neg cells years ago and one a loop dytberthermia (wrong spelling I know ) treatment to burn away smear all been fine after … one is due now .. but not been able to have cos as On a period … then went back and was still bleeding .. anyway need to book soon but I’m still ok timing wise nurse said
as orginal date was nov !
I don’t know about putting pics of of these clots I’m new to this ..
howevet what worried me is my paper work says cerivx looks suspicious does not bleed on touch
ive been upset crying googling the life out of shit and making my self worse
im also on thyroid meds 50mg
and certraline
Been given Tranexamic to stop blood and it has eased up not had no clots leave me all nite expect this marking small one …
and blood has eased up loads
need a hand to hold … don’t worry worry my mum or my son
sorry if it all don’t make sence not the best with my words adhd and dyslexic
not been in no pain with non of this !
all pelvic touch exams were good ..
now do I go for this a smear if I’m having a colposcopy??
just waiting for a letter then prob about 2 for an app

You poor thing, sounds horrendous

A smear is just a screening test that tests for hpv and they only look for cell changes if the hpv is present. A colposcopy is a diagnostic test that will check your cervix and take a biopsy if necessary so will be more informative than the smear test

I dont think there's any great rush for a smear if you're going for a colposcopy soon

It's such a scary thing to see huge clots. I was in the bath about 18months ago, sneezed and a clot the size of my palm of my hand came out! GP didn't seem worried.

I was put on the depo injection, which eased the bleeding. But it was like I had a light period 24/7. Stopped the injection, then November heavy period again, going though my clothes every hour massive clots. Luckily my GP prescribed tranexamic acid and it slowed things down.

GP referred me for an ultrasound, getting the results on Friday.

Same the since the tranexamic Sunday I’ve had no bleeding today or clots x
yes I have ultrasound on wed anyway which was booked prior to all this

Just realised your title says 45 , take that's your age ?

When I was about your age I ended up in A&E, well resus actually as I was passing clots the size of plums and pouring with blood. I was then booked in for an ablation but turned out I had cervical polyps. Once those were removed everything settled down. Tranxemic acid wasn’t much use. I was prescribed norethisterone in between admission and the operation which helped. Good luck x

Fibriods? Think that's what I have as I had this rampming up about 6 months ago

Yeah blood flowing load in waiting room I was just leaking everywhere was given adult nappy but lovely nurse ! Biggest clot of spread across my four fingers and I literally picked it out my knickers (sorry for being graphic) as I know u can feel them fall

Geeze, you poor thing, that sounds scary. And such a long to be in A&E in that state. Must be so uncomfortable, even if you're not in pain. Hope you get a diagnosis soon.

How are you doing now? Did you have your scan?

I had my results back. It was a Fibroid, quite large. Hopefully will get it removed. I suffer from low iron and need infusions so hopefully that will help xx

transactive acid (wrong ) stopped clots n bleeding ish !)
still need colposcopy !! Hospital called me 3 times but missed call and can’t get back in touch no answer so they have sent a letter to my gp!!!,
got a little ache in my left side x

Tranxemic acid supposed to be good. Coloscopy will be helpful and then see what they tell you. Might end up with a hysterectomy but they are much better now than they used to be. 🍀

I had this about 2 years ago . It was very scary and went on for about a year . My periods either didn't stop for weeks or the worst blood clots . I was showering 3 times a day and leaking and having to take a change of clothes everywhere. Or rush home. I became anemic. It was awful.
After ultrasound they found cysts on ovaries and put it down to that as nothing else showed up.
Thankfully it stopped. Although now I don't get periods at all .
But I am well in to my 40s so I think it's more to do with age .

What happened ? I had two cyst on my overuse last year but they dissolved x these clots have scared me I’ve stopped bleeding ish not as bad still need a pad !! But like I said dull ache left side as from today xx ps thank u for replying x
