Breast pain post menopause

I'd appreciate any advice please. I am post menopausal, no period for 2-3 years and not on HRT. The past few days I feel pre menstrual. Breasts are tender and very swollen. Is this worthy of a call to the GP or just another menopause symptom? Has anyone experienced similar? My mammogram is up to date and was clear. Thank you.

I had the same and a few days later had a period. I had tests as post menopause bleeding is a red flag but all was fine. It seems my body was having a final last period. I would wait and see if it goes away. It might just be a final spurt of hormones.

You should see your GP if this continues. Depending on your age ,it could be a final ovulation cycle but see how it goes.

Go back to the GP. I had breast cancer and my only symptom was pain - a sharp, stabbing pain, though. No lumps and mammogram was also clear.

Thank you for your advice. I am 54, and I definitely feel that I am getting a period. Will contact my GP.
