Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me out here and stop me going into a negative spiral? I’m on continuous HRT and 46. I had to have continuous because I get V bad aura migraines that are horrible. The HRT has helped a lot. Generally feeling well. HRT hasn’t stopped my cycles-which have always been heavy and painful. I had a bit of spotting in one cycle which coincided with a change if timezone for work and not taking meds as I should have and the last two cycles have had v bad period cramps. No bleeding- just that feeling of coming on constantly . Anyway - had a scan and the womb is at 14mm 😬. Now I’m mildly terrified. I have health anxiety due to negligence which doesn’t help but am trying to remain calm. Anyone had same thing??

They may just offer a mirena coil to see if it thins it.

@Grenaada Combined continuous HRT is usually only for women whose periods have stopped for good. If you use it when you're still having your own natural cycles the lining will not be thinned like it is post menopause. This is because the amount of progesterone isn't enough in the HRT when you've also got your own cycles.

If you've missed taking your HRT that can also cause some spotting.

You probably need to consider going back to sequential, or using more progesterone every day.

You've not said what you use, but it's 100mgs Utrogestan daily, you may need to double that.
